Saturday| 10/26/2024 Members of the Tamkeen Center for Participation and Equality met with Dr. Qatada, a member of the administrative body of the Union of Jurists, on behalf of the Committee for Communication and Relations with Civil Society Organizations within the Union. During the meeting, a group of topics related to the work of the Union of Jurists in Dhi Qar Governorate were discussed, and the challenges faced by female jurists were discussed. The social aspects and her domestic and economic responsibilities that hinder her from contributing and interacting in the activities related to the Union, It also reviewed a group of activities recently organized by the Center, including the “Guide Guide for Budgets Responsive to Gender Justice,” which was delivered to the Union Office to adopt the recommendations and outputs as they relate to them. The meeting also discussed the most important recommendations related to the policy papers presented by the organization regarding electronic blackmail and procedures to protect women from it.
