Monday: July 29, 2024 The Tamkeen Center for Participation and Equality hosted the five members of the Dhi Qar Governorate Council in a (consultative working meeting) attended by Mrs. Zainab Shahid Al-Asadi (Chairman of the Agriculture and Financial Resources Committee), Mrs. Hadiya Jassem Al-Khikani (Chairman of the Integrity Committee), and Mrs. Nagham Razzaq Al-Ibrahimi (Chairman of the Women and Social Welfare Committee and Chairman of the Appointments and Contracts Committee), Mrs. Kawthar Mansour Al-Saraifi (Chairman of the Legal Committee),

To discuss the most important challenges and opportunities that can be worked on in support of the situation of women in Dhi Qar Governorate and to activate their role in public life and their participation in setting local policies. Council members were also consulted on what are the most important challenges facing women members in their legislative and oversight work and how to provide support. Training for them in order to enhance their roles in managing their legislative and oversight work.
